Seth Goolnik is a Royal Television Society award winning and Emmy nominated Executive Producer, responsible for creating, producing and commissioning hundreds of hours of prime-time unscripted television and digital content for broadcasters around the world including the BBC, Snapchat, History Channel, National Geographic, ITV, Animal Planet and TLC. He was the creator and Executive Producer of Discovery Channel’s EDGE OF ALASKA, for four years the #2 show in America for men on a Friday night.
He is extremely experienced in partnerships with complex organizations on impactful topics; whether teaming on documentaries with the US Army and the FBI, or exploring groundbreaking ideas ranging from early Christianity to unexplained phenomena, content will always have a compelling journalistic narrative combined with a cinematic execution.
Seth led Snapchat’s global unscripted strategy, programming for hundreds of millions of daily users, the majority under the age of 25. Overseeing 100+ projects across development and production, from Emmy-nominated THE VOICE ON SNAPCHAT, Murrow award-winning GOOD LUCK AMERICA to global hits BRINGING UP BHABIE and ENDLESS SUMMER. Collaborating with leading international unscripted producers (Bunim Murray, All3, eOne) and influencers (Bhad Bhabie, David Dobrik, Maddie Zeigler) responsible for a multi-million dollar commissioning budget.
Previously he was the EVP and founder of the American arm of UK producer Twofour. In three years under his leadership Twofour America created and produced 70 hours of television for major cable networks including THE HUNT with James Hetfield for History Channel and ROCKY MOUNTAIN LAW following the Colorado Sheriffs’ Department for National Geographic Channel.
Prior to joining Twofour, Seth was Head of Development at Raw TV in London where he developed a spectrum of series for US and UK networks including SHACKLETON: DEATH OR GLORY for PBS and the UNEXPLAINED FILES for Science Channel. Seth began his career as a journalist at the BBC.
